What is included?
It comes ready assembled with the body, the Dalla Corte style handle with its chromed cap, and the two-outlet spout in open style. It does not include the basket or the retaining spring.
Why does the 54 mm diameter matter?
Because it is this maker's group size. A basket or a body of another diameter will not seal in the group, and the water escapes around the sides instead of passing through the coffee.
When is replacement worthwhile?
When the portafilter is loose in the mounting, when the handle no longer tightens, when the body is warped, or when the finish has lifted and cleaning no longer helps.
