Five-key dispensing keypad for dose selection on Nuova Simonelli Appia Life machines with 19 V electronics. It replaces the panel when the keys need more than one press, when doses stop repeating, or when the assembly no longer responds. Before ordering the part, confirm that the machine runs the 19 V system.
This keypad is for the Appia Life with 19 V electronics. The Appia II uses a different system and is not compatible, even where the panel looks identical. Check the control board label or send us the exact machine model before ordering the part.
Why is the 19 V rating so important?
With the Appia Life generation the electronics moved to 19 V, so keypads from earlier generations do not communicate with this board, even when they carry the same number of keys. A panel with the wrong specification will at best fail to work and at worst damage the control board.
How many keys does it have and what do they control?
Five selection keys, controlling the programmed doses and continuous delivery. They pass the command to the board, which then drives the flowmeter and the solenoid valve until the programmed volume is reached.
How do I tell a keypad fault from a board fault?
A useful rule: a fault confined to one or two keys points to the keypad; a complete lack of response from the panel, or erratic behaviour of the valves and pump at the same time, points to the board. Describe the symptoms to us before choosing the part.
Is it simple to fit, and how do I order?
