Supplementary group gasket shim, 0.8 mm thick, Ø 72 × Ø 58.5 mm. It sits behind the main gasket to restore seat depth and correct the portafilter lock angle. Compatible with Faema, Wega and many other group brands.
It is intended for Faema and Wega groups and also fits many others (Bianchi, VBM, BFC, Gaggia, Rancilio, Sanremo and more). Confirm the Ø 72 × Ø 58.5 mm sizing against the current part.
Does it replace the main group gasket?
No. It is a supplementary shim that sits behind the main gasket and is always used together with it; sealing remains the job of the main gasket.
What is the 0.8 mm thickness for?
It makes up for the play the group seat gains with use and restores the correct lock angle when the portafilter handle goes past its normal position even with a new gasket.
How is it fitted?
With the group cold, remove the shower screen and the main gasket, clean the seat, place the shim at the bottom and seat the main gasket on top; close and check the lock angle.
