It sits behind the group shower screen and spreads water before it reaches the mesh, for even extraction. This small diameter is specific to La Cimbali/Casadio and does not replace the 57 or 58.5 mm discs of other brands.

Does it fit Bezzera or Faema?
No. It is 34.5 mm, a size specific to La Cimbali and Casadio. The Bezzera (57 mm) and Faema (58.5 mm) discs are larger and not interchangeable.
