Faema boiler water inlet pipe — 1/4″ to 1/8″ thread, PTFE seal

Faema water connection pipe, with a 1/4″ thread at one end and 1/8″ at the other and a PTFE (Teflon) tape seal. It carries water from the line into the boiler circuit while reducing between the two thread diameters. The PTFE seal withstands working pressure and temperature. A Faema-specific part.
One end is 1/4″ and the other 1/8″: the pipe connects the water line to the boiler point and makes the reduction between the two diameters in a single component.
Does it fit another brand?
It is a Faema-specific part, with the threads and length of that circuit. For another brand, always confirm the thread sizes.
Is the PTFE seal enough?
Yes. PTFE (Teflon) tape seals the thread under working pressure and heat. Wrap it in the tightening direction and do not over-tighten.
How do I know the pipe needs replacing?
When there is a steady drip or damp at the joint, or the thread is worn or twisted, it is best to replace the pipe and redo the seal.
