Bottomless portafilter with a 21 g basket: no spout, no base, so the extraction can be watched straight from under the basket. It shows in the first drops whether the grounds are evenly distributed and level, and it is easier to rinse. Fits Bezzera and Brasilia BE, plus ECM, Fiorenzato and Quick Mill lever groups.
It is built for the Bezzera group and also seats in the Brasilia BE and in ECM, Fiorenzato and Quick Mill lever groups. Confirm your model when requesting a quote.
What is a bottomless portafilter?
It is a body with no spout and no base, so the whole underside of the basket is visible. Coffee falls straight from the basket into the cup, through no channel at all.
Which basket does it use?
A 21 g basket is included. Match the dose to the basket's capacity, since excess headspace is the usual cause of channelling — and with no base, channelling is immediately visible.
How does it help day to day?
It reveals side jets, one-sided flow and an uneven tamp as they happen, it is a training tool for new staff, and there is no closed spout collecting old grounds.
