What is the advantage of a nylon handle?
It stays cooler than a metal handle next to the group and absorbs part of the shock of locking in, which makes it comfortable in continuous service.
When should it be replaced?
When the handle passes its usual locking angle, when it leaks around the handle with a new group gasket, or when coffee falls from one side only. A worn rim cannot be repaired.
