Gicar RL30 water level control board — semi-automatic

Gicar RL30 water-level (autofill) control board, 230 V, for espresso boilers. It reads the boiler electrodes and drives the pump and fill solenoid valve, preventing the element from running dry. 300 kΩ sensitivity and UL approval; universal.
It is a universal controller used in many professional machines with automatic filling (for example BFC, San Marco, Rancilio). Confirm the model, the 230 V and the 300 kΩ sensitivity.
What does this board do?
It keeps the boiler water level: when it drops, it turns on the pump and the solenoid valve to fill; once the water reaches the electrode, it cuts off. This protects the element from running dry.
What is the 300 kΩ sensitivity?
It is the electrical resistance at which the board detects water between the electrodes. A replacement board must have the same sensitivity, or the level reading will be wrong.
How do I recognise a fault?
Endless filling or an overflowing boiler, or else no filling with a low level (risk of burning the element). Check it straight away.
