It is specific to La Cimbali M22 machines, the Junior, and fits the M21 as well. The handle thread is M10, unlike the M12 used on most portafilters, so it is not interchangeable.
What is included?
It comes with the chrome-plated brass body and the black M10 handle. It does not include the basket or the retaining spring, which are carried over from the portafilter you are replacing.
Why an M10 thread and not M12?
It is the size used on this La Cimbali series. If the handle you already have is M12, it will not screw into this body; measure the thread before ordering.
When is it worth replacing the portafilter?
When the wings are worn and the portafilter no longer locks properly in the group, when the body is cracked, or when the plating has lifted and left the brass exposed.
