What does this thermostat do?
It holds the temperature in range: it cuts the heating element at 98 °C and switches back on as it cools. With automatic reset, no manual action is needed.
Is it auto or manual reset?
Automatic (Auto Reset). It switches on and off by itself with temperature, unlike a safety thermostat, which usually has manual reset.
How is it fitted?
With an M4×6 screw and a vertical faston terminal. It fits many boilers; confirm the cut-out temperature and the mounting point.
What are the failure signs?
The machine does not heat (stuck open) or overheats (stuck closed). In that case, replace the thermostat.
