La Spaziale blind basket, AISI 430 stainless steel
Part no. ET-100196
Blind basket (no holes) in AISI 430 stainless steel for La Spaziale portafilters, 27 mm tall. It closes the water outlet to allow backflushing of the group and the solenoid valve, removing built-up coffee oils. An essential part of the cleaning routine on any La Spaziale machine.
It is sized for La Spaziale portafilters, which use their own diameter. Generic 58 mm blind baskets tend to sit loose — use this made-to-size version.
What is a blind basket for?
It has no holes, so water cannot leave and is forced back under pressure through the solenoid valve, washing the group and three-way valve during backflushing.
What is it made of?
It is AISI 430 stainless steel, resistant to corrosion, heat and the group detergents used in periodic cleaning.
How often should I backflush?
In a busy cafe, backflush with water every night and with detergent once a week. For home use, detergent once a month is usually enough.
