Stainless-steel diffuser (shower screen) screw, to hold the shower screen in the group head of La Marzocco and Synesso machines. Stainless steel prevents corrosion and the risk of the screw shearing inside the group. A standard part of periodic group-head maintenance.

What does the screw do?
It holds and stabilises the shower screen at the bottom of the group head, ensuring even water distribution over the coffee puck.
Why stainless steel?
It resists hot water and scale without rusting and — more importantly — stops the screw head from shearing inside the group, which would be hard to remove.
How often is it replaced?
Replace it whenever you see corrosion, a worn head or thread, typically at the periodic service of the group head and shower screen.
