Faema single filter basket 7 g — 24 mm height, for Wega and Rancilio
Part no. ET-100318
Single-dose filter basket for about 7 g, 24 mm tall, with an external ridge and a body in AISI 304 stainless steel. Even drilling in the base is what gives the same resistance at every point of the coffee bed and a clean shot, with no particles in the cup. It fits Faema, Rancilio, Wega, VBM, Astoria, Bezzera, Elektra, Sanremo and Brasilia portafilters in this size.
It is listed for Faema, Rancilio, Wega, VBM, Astoria, Bezzera, BFC Royal, Elektra, SV, Sanremo and Brasilia portafilters using this size. For other brands, compare the 24 mm height and the diameter of the basket currently fitted, or send us a photograph of the portafilter.
Which steel is the basket made from?
The body is AISI 304 stainless steel, the usual food-contact grade, which copes well with hot water, group cleaning detergents and daily use without losing the shape of the rim.
What dose suits a single basket?
About 7 g, the classic single-shot dose. Much larger doses remove the clearance needed up to the group shower screen and leave the familiar wet mark on the coffee surface; a double basket is the right choice in that case.
When should the basket be replaced?
When grounds reach the cup with no change in the grind, which means the holes have widened, and when the rim is worn or distorted and no longer seats correctly under the group gasket, causing leaks around the portafilter.
Does the basket need any maintenance?
Yes, simple but worthwhile: daily washing and a weekly soak in espresso machine cleaning solution, to keep the holes free of oil. Request a quote using the form on this page.
