Ruveco Plus gicleur with a calibrated 0.8 mm orifice for the E61 brew group on Wega and Faema machines. This fingernail-sized part meters the incoming flow and gives the E61 its gentle pre-infusion. It also fits Astoria, Brasilia, ECM, Pavoni and VBM groups.

What does a gicleur do in an E61 group?
It is a calibrated orifice that limits the flow of water entering the group. It gives the E61 its gentle pre-infusion, letting water settle on the puck before full pressure.
What is the orifice diameter?
It measures 0.8 mm, in the Ruveco Plus version. The diameter must match what the machine was built with.
What symptoms mean the gicleur needs changing?
Limescale in the orifice gives slow, thin shots. An orifice widened by wear does the opposite: water hits the puck all at once and channels through it.
