Will it fit my solenoid valve?
OR105 is a standard size: 6.07 mm inside diameter by 1.78 mm section. Measure the old seal or the seat in the valve base and compare it with those two figures.
Which standard size is it?
It is the standard OR105 size, 6.07 × 1.78 mm. On a seal this small, tenths of a millimetre in section are the difference between a dry base and a permanent drip.
Why Viton® rather than ordinary rubber?
Viton® (FKM) was developed for high temperature and chemical attack. At the solenoid valve base, where hot water passes with every shot, it is what prevents the seal from hardening early.
Which symptoms mean it should be changed?
Damp or dripping under the solenoid valve, white scale building up at the base, or pressure loss in the circuit after the coil has been replaced with no result.
