Nuova Simonelli Appia double pressure gauge — steam and pump pressure

Double pressure gauge reading 0 to 2.5 bar for the boiler and 0 to 16 bar for the pump, for Nuova Simonelli Appia machines. It brings together on one dial the two pressures that define how the machine behaves: steam, which sets milk foam quality, and the pump during extraction. A needle that wavers, sticks or fails to return to zero is no longer a reference and should be replaced.

What scales does it have?
A double scale: 0 to 2.5 bar for boiler pressure and 0 to 16 bar for pump pressure. Both readings appear on the same dial, which allows the state of the machine to be judged at a glance.
Why is the gauge the first diagnostic instrument?
When milk foam weakens, extraction slows or the pump changes its note, the gauge gives two immediate answers: steam below its band points to the pressure switch and heating element; a pump far from 9 bar points to the water circuit or the pump itself.
What daily check do you recommend?
Before the first service of the day, look at the steam needle at rest, which should hold steady within the machine's usual band. Then run a blank extraction and follow the pump needle: a smooth rise to about 9 bar and a full return at the end.
Is it difficult to replace?
