Gicar vertical flowmeter — 1.8 mm jet, vertical outlet
Part no. ET-100362
Vertically mounted flowmeter with a calibrated 1.8 mm jet, vertical outlet and a low pressure path, approved to NSF and UL. It counts the volume of water passing to the group and returns that reading to the board, which uses it to end each dose at the right point. Used in domestic coffee machines and automatic beverage dispensers.
A small turbine inside spins as water passes through and generates pulses that the control board counts. Once the pulse count matches the programmed dose, the board closes the valve and ends the extraction.
What jet and mounting does this model use?
It has a calibrated 1.8 mm jet, vertical mounting and a vertical outlet on a low pressure path. The jet calibre affects the count directly, so it must match the flowmeter being replaced.
Which equipment is it used in?
It is fitted in domestic coffee machines and in automatic beverage dispensers from makers such as Lavazza, Necta and Wittenborg, among other equipment that doses by volume.
What approvals does it carry?
It is approved to both NSF and UL. The first covers materials in contact with water for consumption, the second the electrical safety of the component, and both are expected in many professional markets.
What are the signs of failure?
Doses that vary from shot to shot, coffees that never stop on their own, or that cut short. These usually come from scale on the turbine or a lost signal, and are cleared by cleaning or replacement.
