Level sight glass tube, 11 mm in diameter and 170 mm long, in heat-resistant glass, for the boiler level column. It shows the water height at a glance and reveals overfilling or a low level before the heating element is left uncovered. It fits Astoria, CS Fiorenzato and Wega machines.
It suits level columns on Astoria, CS Fiorenzato and Wega machines that use an 11 mm diameter by 170 mm tube. Measure the old tube, as the same model can carry different column heights.
What is it made of?
Heat-resistant glass, formulated for continuous contact with water at boiler temperature and for the thermal shock of automatic refilling.
What should I check when replacing it?
Depressurise and let the boiler cool, draw the tube out without forcing it, and inspect the column gaskets and nuts: new glass on hardened seals will simply weep again.
When is it worth changing the glass?
When it clouds over or scales up and the level can no longer be read, when it is scratched or cracked, or when the base of the column stays damp.
