Sirai P302/6 three-pole pressure switch for three-phase circuits, adjustable between 0.5 and 1.4 bar, with a breaking capacity of up to 30 A at 400 V. It connects through a male G 1/4 thread for 4x6 mm pipe and carries CE and UL approval. This is the control that switches the heating element on and off with boiler pressure.
It is meant for professional boiler machines on a three-phase supply. Confirm the G 1/4 connection, the 4x6 mm pipe and the number of poles on your current switch before ordering.
What pressure range does it cover?
0.5 to 1.4 bar, set on the adjusting screw. Most espresso machines work inside this band to keep steam and hot water available.
Why the 30 A version?
Contacts rated 30 A at 400 V cope with the elements of two and three group machines. Under heavy load an undersized switch arcs at the contacts and eventually welds shut or burns.
What are the signs of a failed switch?
Pressure climbing above its usual ceiling or swinging up and down, steam never reaching working pressure, or an element that never cuts out. First make sure the connecting pipe is not blocked with scale.
