How to identify the right part for your espresso machine and request a quote
To identify the right part, gather the brand, model and serial number from the machine's rating plate, measure the old part with a caliper, photograph it and, if you find it in the catalogue, note its ET reference. Then send those details through the contact form: the site shows no prices and quotes are made on request.
What machine details should I have before asking for a part?
Brand, model and version (number of groups), serial number, year of manufacture and electrical data. As a rule, all of them are on the machine's rating plate.
According to manufacturer manuals, the plate normally shows the manufacturer, model and version, voltage and frequency, serial number, boiler data, total power, heating element and motor power, and year of manufacture. Its location differs from machine to machine — in one of the manuals consulted it is on the front panel, top right — so look it up in the manual if you cannot see it straight away.
The serial number and year matter because the same model can change parts during its production run. Voltage and power are essential for heating elements, coils and pressure switches. One sharp photo of the plate settles all of this at once.
How do I measure the old part correctly?
With a caliper, in millimetres, and in the order the catalogue uses. What to measure depends on the part:
- Gaskets and O-rings: for gaskets, outer diameter × inner diameter × thickness (for example, 73 × 57 × 8 mm); for O-rings, inner diameter × cross-section (for example, 6.07 × 1.78 mm). A used gasket is deformed: cross-check with the machine model.
- Shower screens and baskets: diameter and, for baskets, height and dose.
- Heating elements: power (W) and voltage marked on the part, length and flange type.
- Coils and solenoid valves: voltage, AC or DC, power and number of ways.
- Safety valves: pressure stamped on the body, and thread; the pressure is never changed.
On pipe threads (G, also called BSP), the size in inches is not the diameter the caliper shows. Measure the outside diameter of the male thread and compare:
| Thread | Outside diameter | Threads per inch | Pitch |
|---|---|---|---|
| G 1/8″ | 9.73 mm | 28 | 0.907 mm |
| G 1/4″ | 13.16 mm | 19 | 1.337 mm |
| G 3/8″ | 16.66 mm | 19 | 1.337 mm |
| G 1/2″ | 20.95 mm | 14 | 1.814 mm |
If your measurement does not match the table, the thread may be metric (M5 or M16 × 1.5, for example): state the diameter and pitch you measured.
Which photos help identify the part?
Four sharp, well-lit photos are usually enough:
- the whole part, front and side, with a ruler or the caliper next to it for scale;
- the stamped markings or label: codes, voltage, power, pressure;
- the place where the part fits on the machine;
- the rating plate.
If the part is broken, photograph all the pieces together. The form on the site is text only: photos go by email, either in reply to our message or to the address shown in the contact section.
How do I find the ET reference in the catalogue?
Every product in the catalogue has its own reference, starting with ET- followed by six digits (ET-100221, for example). If you find your part, quoting that reference in your request is enough.
The catalogue holds over 400 references and can be browsed in two ways: by part family or by machine brand. Each product page shows the specifications, compatible brands and frequently asked questions; compare the measurements with your part before deciding. Some starting points:
If you cannot find the part, send the request anyway: describe it with the details above and we will help identify it.
How do I request a quote?
Through the contact form or the "Request a quote" button on each product page, which opens the form with the reference already filled in. The site shows no prices and has no online ordering: the store is in preparation and, until then, every request receives a quote.
The form asks for name, email, company (optional) and message. In the message, write:
- brand, model, number of groups, serial number and year of the machine;
- the part or parts you need, with the ET reference if you have it, and the quantity;
- the measurements and markings of the old part;
- the fault or symptom, which helps confirm the choice.
We reply in English or Portuguese; the response hours stated on the site are weekdays, 9:00 to 18:00 (WET).
FAQ
- What if I do not know the machine model?
- Send the brand, a general photo of the machine and the measurements of the old part. With those it is often possible to narrow down the options; when it is not, we will tell you which detail is missing.
- Can I ask for several parts in one request?
- Yes. List them in the same message, each with its ET reference or measurements and the quantity you need.
- Does the site show prices or have an online store?
- Not yet. The catalogue is for browsing and identifying parts; the online store, with prices and direct ordering, is in preparation. Until then, the cost of each part is given in the quote.
- Do I need a company to request a quote?
- The "Company" field on the form is optional. Supply is geared to cafés, restaurants, hotels, technicians and resellers.
